Job Description

As part of the Customer Service Department, the Traffic Coordinator is responsible for verifying and processing loading paperwork for drivers visiting their facility.  They work closely with the Operations Department on a continuous basis to prioritize loads and meet deadlines.  Traffic Coordinators interface with visiting truck drivers as well as internal Frontier personnel, and must be able to work as a team to meet a common goal.  This position will also involve some general office administration duties.  The right candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and be able to maintain a friendly, professional demeanor.   

 

General Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Greet and direct drivers to the proper location for loading/unloading
  • Verify all orders & packouts for accuracy before distribution to the operators
  • Verify driver pickup and delivery information and follow outbound and inbound procedures, including the maintenance of a detailed in/out signature sheet.
  • Prioritize and manage daily loading/unloading to meet all cutoffs
  • Coordinate outside carriers as required
  • Inform Customer Service when orders are ready and redistribute paperwork to them in a timely manner
  • Assign containers and process In/Out transactions for third party containers in a timely manner
  • Daily coordination and communication with Frontier-designated outside carriers, providing them the necessary information for planning 24-72 hours out
  • Distributing driver paperwork to company drivers and dispatch
  • Generate open order report by 3PM daily and distribute to Customer Service
  • Input and manage daily shipping pictures
  • Organize and retain paperwork as necessary
  • General Office Administration, including Purchase Orders, coordinating mail and express shipments, ordering office supplies, and other tasks as needed
  • Enter POs in the system
  • Daily review of relevant planning reports
  • Post all third party and Frontier supplies on Frontier Web, distribute paperwork accordingly
  • FrontierWeb intermodal system duties

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in a professional office administrative role
  • Strong organizational skills and system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
